There are many different styles of dog collars to choose from depending on
your dogs size and nature. For most dogs a nylon dog collar or leather dog collar is sufficient. A dog collar should ride middle on your dogs neck. It should be comfortable with enough
room to fit two fingers between your dogs neck and his collar.

Nylon Dog Collars
Nylon dog collars are lightweight, inexpensive, and very durable.
Nylon dog collars come in a wide choice of colors, they are very good for
dogs that swim a lot. An excellent collar for most dogs. Nylon
dog collars are strong and fancy.
Leather Dog Collars
Leather dog collars are strong and very long lasting. Leather
dog collars soften from the moist in your dogs skin. Leather dog collars
look good and even improve with age. Rolled leather dog collars are better for longhaired dogs to keep the hair from lying flat against
the coat.
Dog Harnesses
A dog harness is placed around the dogs shoulders and ribcage, behind the
front legs, to eliminate the potential for choking. Dog harnesses are recommended
for strong pulling dogs. While pulling, a traditional dog collar places pressure
on the throat, causing irritation and coughing. Dog harnesses relieve that
pressure.
Dog Head
Collar
A dog head collar is a dog collar that goes around the dogs
neck, with a nose loop attached. The nose loop keeps the dog from dragging
you down the road. A dog head collar gives you the best control over your
dog. It makes it almost impossible for the dog to move
ahead or pull you forward.
A dog head collar reduces the pull of a 75 kg male down to 2 kg!
Many dog lovers perceive that head collar improves their dogs
undesirable behavior too.
